Starting Again

I got my license, took the course...now I'm ready to ride and I need lots of practice before I am road ready. It is something I've always wanted to do and with spring upon us and summer around the corner, I am excited about some summer adventures on the bike.
I think sometime, all by myself I would like to take a ride maybe only to east Texas but wouldn't it be awesome to just get on and go anywhere...land where you land at night and get up and start all over again. Bring only the minimal and be ready to make do if the need arises.
